Donors Kichijiro Noguchi [野口 吉次郎]
Opens his own soy sauce company in Kanazawa during his youth, but fails due to the difficult economic situation at that time, and ends up moving to Hokkaido in search of new possibilities in Meiji 19 (1886).
After making a living selling used clothing, he became a master brewer (Toji) for Ishibashi Store, and in Meiji 23 (1890) established a franchise of Ishibashi Store under the name “Maruyo.”
Opens a brewery in Meiji 34 (1901), and successfully registers the trade name “Kitano Homare.” Wakoso in Shiomidai was designed by his son, Kiichiro.
